TSU Still the Only University from South Caucasus Represented in Times World University Rankings

Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (TSU) is still the only university from South Caucasus represented in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings for the fifth consecutive year. 
TSU is ranked at No. 1001+ among 1500 world’s top universities. TSU received highest assessment in international outlook component (ranked 657th worldwide). 
Tbilisi State University was first represented in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings in 2017. The 2017 rankings listed only 980 universities, where TSU was ranked at No. 801+. Increased competition and popularity of Times World University Rankings led to increased number of universities on the list. According to the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2021, TSU is among 1,500 best universities across 93 countries. 
TSU shares its position with prestigious universities from various countries of the world, including the United States (James Madison University, University of North Carolina Wilmington, Oakland University, Texas State University), Great Britain (Staffordshire University), Canada (University of Lethbridge), France (Paris Nanterre University), Spain (University of A Coruña), etc.
